Founder’s Message
Infertility is on the rise and affects millions of couples, an estimated 10 – 18% of couples are sufferers of this problem. Besides medical problems other lifestyle factors leading to infertility can be modified/overcome like the use of a laptop for a male partner on a lap sitting in a chair can be avoided as it affects the quantity and quality of the sperm. Smoking, drinking, and overconsumption of caffeine cause irregular ovulation and decrease sperm counts and motility. Ambitions career inspirations late marriages, late night working, and excessive use of computers can be avoided. Obesity the biggest culprit associated with infertility can be managed by organized life, “Early to bed & early to rise makes a man healthy, wealthy and wise” and a balanced nutritious diet, avoiding junk food. Planning of family should not be delayed due to career inspirations. Couples under 30 should seek medical advice after one year and those over 35 within 6 months of marriage. If they don’t conceive within the mentioned time period.
